What is Yóu Yóu?
Yóu Yóu is a direct-to-consumer (DTC) brand offering premium Tea Seed Oil, a traditional Chinese cooking oil with a history spanning over 2,000 years. Rooted in heritage and wellness, the brand reintroduces this time-honored ingredient to modern consumers as a healthier alternative for high-heat cooking, combining traditional knowledge with contemporary lifestyle needs.
Challanges
The brand was developed under a tight launch timeline, requiring an efficient approach to building a strong visual presence from the ground up. Our key objectives were to expand the brand’s asset library and create educational content that introduced audiences to Asian food culture and the nutritional benefits of traditional ingredients.
Through strategic visual storytelling, we developed assets that not only supported the brand launch but also helped communicate the heritage, craftsmanship, and wellness benefits behind Tea Seed Oil to a modern audience.
My Role
To support the brand launch, we refreshed the social media content ecosystem, enhanced the UX/UI experience, and created interactive filters that encouraged audience participation. By combining education with interactive storytelling, we designed digital experiences that introduced consumers to Asian food culture while strengthening their connection with the brand.
Goal(s)/ Outcome
Instagram followers has a 400% increase within the first two months of launching.
